Zoutpanputs Game Farm, Kalahari
In the magnificent expanse of the Kalahari, Zoutpanputs, a 6000-ha game farm offers the keen lover of nature many enticing opportunities. Here you will find a vast selection of wildlife.
Enjoy the true African landscape of red dunes and savanna where you will find game like sable, gemsbok, springbok, eland, red hartebeest, steenbok, duiker and blue wildebeest.
The farm offers more than 50 species of birds that should keep the keen birder busy for days.
The brilliant night sky is the perfect backdrop to the music of the night, such as a jackal calling or the haunting conversation between two Spotted Eagle Owl. The beautiful Lilac-Breasted Roller (Troupant) is often seen in stately old camelthorns on drives along the dry riverbed of the Molopo.
Fine opportunities such as delicate winter grass against a clear blue sky will keep the photographer clicking.
Zoutpanputs ia a 6000 ha game farm with antelope such as sable, gemsbok, springbok, buffalo, eland, red hartebeest, steenbok, blue wildebeest and duiker.
The abundant birdlife of the Kalahari can be experienced all round: in trees such as the camelthorn, grey camelthorn, sheperd’s tree, black thorn and silver cluster leaf, and the grass on the dunes.
Getting to know the meerkat families living around the lodge is a most entertaining pastime.
